January 29th 2011 - at their Annual General Meeting, held on this occasion in the splendid surroundings of Apothecaries Hall, the Guild elected Eddie O'Shea, Beadle to the Glaziers Company, to be their Chairman for the coming year.The new-elected Chairman gave a stirring rendition of the 'Address to the Haggis' which was roundly applauded by all the diners.The Guild was delighted to have as Guest of Honour, Sheriff Fiona Woolf CBE. In her speech on behalf of the guests, she spoke warmly about the role of the Beadles in the contemporary Livery Company emphasing their long, unbroken history of service to the City.
