The Guild was formed in 1992 with the aim of uniting all Livery Company Beadles for social events, to preserve the traditions of the City of London and the Livery Companies and to assist or advise newly-appointed Beadles in matters of protocol. It has now grown to accommodate Hall Managers and others of similar employment within the Livery Companies, and also assists in providing replacement Beadles to Livery Companies at short notice when their own Beadle is unable to perform his duties due to illness or incapacity. The Guild meets quarterly to discuss pertinent matters and to raise charitable funds.
