Our Friends in the City
Part stage-manager, part Ringmaster, the Beadle is at the centre of all major events within Livery Company life in the City.
His role is to co-ordinate the various and varied contributors to Company functions, to act as Toastmaster and ensure that the ceremonial is carried out to the smallest detail as prescribed by years of tradition.
Around him, caterers, hall managers, toastmasters, florists, waiting staff, musicians, photographers, guards of honour all come together to produce a seamless and dignified event.
The Beadles of London do appreciate the contributions of the many organisations and individuals who go to make up a grand evening. The following is just a small selection of our friends but we do want to hear from anyone who would like to be linked to this site:
